A ceremony to commemorate the inauguration of the PR Ambassador and cooperation agreement was held at the Hirakata City Gymnasium, and the Panasonic Panthers will disseminate the appeal of Hirakata City’s activities to the whole country.

  • June 2020 “Courtesy call to Hirakata City Hall”
    Shimizu, Fukatsu, and Yamauchi paid a courtesy visit. They spoke with Hirakata City Mayor Fushimi (second from the left in the photo) about aspirations for the new season.
  • August 2019 “Hirakata Festival Citizens Parade Participation”
    We participated in the “Hirakata Festival 2019,” held in Hirakata City on August 24th and 25th, 2019.
  • September 2019 “Volleyball class held at a junior high school”
    Visited Hirakata Municipal Nakamiya Junior High School for the “Top Athletes Elementary School Fureai Project” As an activity to expand sports culture, we have been holding volleyball classes at nursery schools, elementary schools, junior high schools, etc., since 2018
  • January 2018 “Courtesy call to report on championship victory”
    Reported to Hirakata Mayor Fushimi (third from the right in the photo) on winning the 2017 Emperor's Cup and Empress' Cup All Japan Volleyball Championship. We received congratulatory speeches from the mayor and Chairman Fukudome of the city council (center of the photo).
  • December 2017 “Police Chief for a Day”
    Imamura and Hisahara become police chiefs of the Hirakata police station for a day. They carried out educational activities for special fraud damage prevention campaigns.

Collaboration event with Hirakata Park August to December 2019 Hirakata ParkOpen in new window

The Panthers and Hirakata Park held a collaboration event. The annual fan appreciation event “Black Panther Festival” was held on the outdoor stage. We had a great time with more than 1,300 fans, taking commemorative photos, playing games, and interaction between fans and players. As for other collaboration events, we held a panel exhibition and event to enjoy the illuminations of the park after the match. A unique collaboration between sports and an amusement park conveys the charm of our Hometown of Hirakata City.

  • At “Black Panther Festival 2019,” 18 team members gathered to take a commemorative photo.
  • The Panthers posed with about 1,300 fans who participated in the Black Panther Festival for a commemorative photo.
  • At the illumination event, more than 1,000 fans gathered to enjoy the beautiful lights in the park while taking pictures and chatting.

Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, was decided on as a sub-Hometown. Okinawa City Mayor Kuwae, GM Nambu of the Panasonic Panthers, and head coach Kawamura attended the press conference held at Okinawa City Hall.

Okinawa Prefecture Shuri Castle Reconstruction Fundraising ActivitiesJanuary 2020

A fund-raising activity for the reconstruction of Shuri Castle (an important cultural property), which was severely damaged by a fire in October 2019, was held before and after matches on January 18, 19, and 26, 2020. We donated reconstruction money to the “Okinawa Prefecture Shuri Castle Restoration and Reconstruction Support Fundraising Activity Secretariat” through Okinawa City Hall.
