With the history of 100 years since our company's foundation, today Panasonic positions sports as a business that will play an important part in our efforts to create the next 100 years, and will take sports more seriously than ever.
Panasonic has many competitive sports teams representing our Panasonic brand, and achieving excellent results in their respective fields, including volleyball team PANTHERS, rugby team WILD KNIGHTS, Baseball Team, American football team IMPULSE, track and field team Angels, as well as the kendo and women's nine-man volleyball teams. We collectively refer to all teams as Panasonic Sports, and support them grow into teams that people admire and aim to, and therefore create a new image of Panasonic with sports.
If more people from a wide range of fields get involved in sports, then sports will inspire a greater number of communities, and bring more smiles to the people. Take Root in Local Communities and Aim to Grow Together
In particular, the PANTHERS, based in the Panasonic Arena in Hirakata, Osaka since its establishment, is promoting a variety of collaboration projects with Hirakata as its home city and has also been appointed as the city's PR ambassador.
The WILD KNIGHTS will be moving from their long-time base in Ota, Gunma, to Kumagaya, Saitama. In August 2021, we plan to complete a clubhouse inside the extensive Kumagaya Sports & Culture Park, which includes the Kumagaya Rugby Stadium (2019 Rugby World Cup venue). We appreciate the continued support from the people of Ota, and are fortunate to receive great support from the city of Kumagaya.
With warm support from Kadoma, Osaka, and Yokohama, Kanagawa, the Panasonic Baseball Team, IMPULSE, and Angels also aim to achieve growth while developing a stronger bond with these local communities.
