Since 2009, Panasonic Russia, Ltd. has been hosting an annual contest for original educational materials and demonstration lessons using the Panaboard interactive electronic whiteboard, with the support of municipal school boards in Russia. Approximately 200 teachers compete with each other every year. The contest, now in its third year, has become more exciting year by year. In FY11, senior officials of school boards were invited from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Penza, and other major cities to serve as contest judges and passionate lessons were given by participating teachers and students. As a result of strict evaluations of 318 demonstration lessons, three best teachers were selected. They will be invited to Japan in March this year to participate in a variety of training programs offered in Panasonic facilities and elementary schools.
