Russia: Panaboard Contest & Eco Project Contest Held
In November 2011, the final stage of the FY11 Panaboard Contest and the Eco Project Contest were held in Moscow.
Panaboard Contest's Final Stage
Since 2009, Panasonic Russia, Ltd. has been hosting an annual contest for original educational materials and demonstration lessons using the Panaboard interactive electronic whiteboard, with the support of municipal school boards in Russia. Approximately 200 teachers compete with each other every year. The contest, now in its third year, has become more exciting year by year. In FY11, senior officials of school boards were invited from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Penza, and other major cities to serve as contest judges and passionate lessons were given by participating teachers and students. As a result of strict evaluations of 318 demonstration lessons, three best teachers were selected. They will be invited to Japan in March this year to participate in a variety of training programs offered in Panasonic facilities and elementary schools.
Eco Project Contest
Eco Nomination is a contest for interactive lessons focusing on environmental issues. Teachers gave easy-to-understand lessons on environmental activities to children using the Panaboard. A total of 19 teachers participated in the contest from 10 cities and the following three lessons were selected for the Grand Prize.
Furthermore, the Eco Picture Diary Contest Awards Ceremony for Grand Prize winners was also held in the same venue. In FY11, 3,000 children created picture diaries about eco-friendly activities that they put into practice in Moscow.
